Balatro Publisher Playstack Sold to GameSpot Owner IMC, Promises Independence

Playstack, the acclaimed publisher behind indie hit Balatro, is set to be acquired by Integrated Media Company (IMC), the parent company of gaming news giants GameSpot and Fandom. Despite the acquisition, Playstack's CEO assures that the company will remain operationally separate from IMC's media divisions.
