We're excited to see how the remake handles the iconic Goron dance sequence and the boss battle against Big Dodongo.
Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly
This dungeon is a unique and frankly bizarre experience, requiring players to navigate the insides of a colossal Zora. The mission to rescue Princess Ruto adds a narrative urgency, and the puzzle-solving involving manipulating the giant's internal organs felt truly innovative for its time. The Switch 2's graphical power should make the slimy, pulsating corridors of Jabu-Jabu's Belly a truly immersive, albeit unsettling, adventure.
Forest Temple
Stepping into the Forest Temple as adult Link marks a significant shift in tone and complexity. Its ethereal atmosphere, challenging puzzles involving invisible platforms, and the introduction of the Fairy Bow made it a standout. The Sheikah technology hinted at in the original designs could be fully realized in the remake, adding layers to its already intricate design and the memorable Phantom Ganon boss fight.
Spirit Temple
As the final dungeon before confronting Ganondorf, the Spirit Temple offers a mind-bending experience with its time-traveling mechanics. Players must switch between young and adult Link to solve puzzles and progress, a concept that was revolutionary. The dual nature of the temple, split between light and shadow, provided a visually striking contrast that we're eager to see enhanced with modern graphics and gameplay refinements for its 2026 release.
