Proud Family Wizmas Arrives November 14, Plus Miss Universe 2026 Dates

The holiday season is about to get a whole lot prouder, and the world is getting ready to crown its next queen. Disney+ is set to premiere A Proud Family Wizmas, a brand-new stop-motion Christmas special, on November 14, 2026. This festive treat promises to bring the beloved characters of The Proud Family into a unique visual style, offering a fresh take on holiday chaos and family bonding.

The special centers on Penny Proud, who, in a classic holiday mishap, inadvertently wrecks Christmas. The stakes are high as she reluctantly steps up to fix the holiday for Emilyville and, indeed, the world. Executive Producers Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar are at the helm, with Kyla Pratt, JB Smoove, and Luenell among the voice cast bringing this animated adventure to life. The TV-Y rating suggests it's a family-friendly affair, perfect for binge-watching during the festive period.

A Proud Family's Festive Makeover

This foray into stop-motion animation marks an exciting creative direction for The Proud Family, a series known for its vibrant animation and relatable storytelling. Fans have long cherished the characters and their hilarious antics, and seeing them rendered in a tactile, stop-motion format is a novel concept that could offer a charming, nostalgic feel. The premise of Penny having to save Christmas is a familiar trope, but the unique context of the Proud family's world and the visual flair of stop-motion animation should make it a standout holiday special. It’s the kind of event that fans of the show will eagerly anticipate, gathering the family around the screen to see how Penny navigates this monumental task.

Global Pageantry and Holiday Cheer

Beyond the animated festivities, the global stage is also set for a major event. The Miss Universe 2026 pageant has officially announced its date and location. The 75th edition of the iconic beauty pageant will take place on November 24, 2026, at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This highly anticipated event will be broadcast live across multiple platforms, including Roku, Telemundo, and TV Azteca, allowing fans worldwide to tune in and witness the crowning moment. The pageant will also feature debuts from countries like Malawi, Republic of the Congo, Saint Martin, and Uganda, adding new faces and cultures to the global competition.
